چکیده

A generalization of BRST field theory is presented, based on wave operators for the fields constructed out of, but different from the BRST operator. We discuss their quantization, gauge fixing and the derivation of propagators. We show, that the generalized theories are relevant to relativistic particle theories in the Brink-Di Vecchia-Howe-Polyakov (BDHP) formulation, and argue that the same phenomenon holds in string theories. In particular it is shown, that the naive BRST formulation of the BDHP theory leads to trivial quantum field theories with vanishing correlation functions. ∗Research supported by the Stichting F.O.M.

An operator approach to BRST invariant transition amplitudes

The transition amplitudes for the free spinless and spinning relativistic particles are obtained by applying an operator method developed long ago by Dirac and Schwinger to the BFV form of the BRST theory for constrained systems. e-mail: [email protected] e-mail: [email protected] 0 The BRST method of quantization [1, 2, 3] is now thought as the most effective way of dealing w...

From Superalgebras to Superparticles And

From Superalgebras to Superparticles and Superbranes. (May 2001) Igor V. Rudychev, B.S., Kharkov State University Chair of Advisory Committee: Dr. E. Sezgin In this work I investigate connections between superalgebras and their realizations in terms of particles, branes and field theory models. I start from Poincaré superalgebras with brane charges and study its representations. The existence o...

Sum-over-histories representation for the causal Green function of free scalar field theory.

A set of Green functions Gα(x − y), α ∈ [0, 2π[, for free scalar field theory is introduced, varying between the Hadamard Green function ∆1(x − y) ≡ 〈0 | {φ(x), φ(y)} | 0〉 and the causal Green function Gπ(x − y) = i∆(x − y) ≡ [φ(x), φ(y)]. For every α ∈ [0, 2π[ a path-integral representation for Gα is obtained both in the configuration space and in the phase space of the classical relativistic ...

BRST quantization of the CP1 model with Chern-Simons term in 2+1 dimensions.

Field theory on CP1 with Chern-Simons term is analyzed classically and then quantized. The constrained system is disentangled using the elegant BRST method. The quantum Hamiltonian, the BRST charge and the anti-BRST charge are derived. Application to a recently proposed model with principal chiral fields is elaborated. A construction 1 of master field describing multicolour QCD is presented. The master fields for large N matrix theories satisfy to standard equations of relativistic field theory but fields are quantized according q-deformed commutation relations with q = 0. These commutation relations are realized in the Boltzmannian Fock space. The master field for gauge theory does not take values in a finit...
